Trump cancels meeting with Putin
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he canceled his planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he felt it was unnecessary.
“I believe it’s time to impose broad sanctions on Russia, hoping they won’t last too long. Every time I speak with Vladimir, we have good conversations, but they lead nowhere,” Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the Oval Office.
Trump expressed regret that his discussions with his Russian counterpart on ending the conflict in Ukraine have yielded no results.
