
Trump heads on Asia tour
U.S. President Donald Trump has left for Asia. He will spend a week there, visiting Malaysia, Japan and South Korea, where he will meet with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, the Associated Press writes.
Trump said he plans to discuss the settlement of the Ukrainian war with Xi and expects Beijing’s assistance in negotiations with Russia.
The U.S. president also announced his willingness to meet with North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un as part of his Asian tour.
