Illegal drug trafficking cases up by 391, ammunition offenses by 249

During the first nine months of 2025, there has been a significant increase in the detection of crimes previously considered latent, Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan, stated during the preliminary discussions of the state budget.

“Crimes that were considered latent in 2023 and 2024 are now being uncovered this year,” the minister said. “For example, cases of illegal drug trafficking have increased by 391, while cases involving the illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition have risen by 249.”
