Israel not to allow Lebanon to become new front against it, says Netanyahu
Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz demanded that Lebanon fulfill its commitments to disarm Hezbollah and remove the group’s forces from southern Lebanon, Al Arabiya writes.
For his part, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened to use force if the agreement is violated.
“We expect the Lebanese government to fulfil its commitment — to disarm Hezbollah — but it is clear we will exercise our right of self-defense under the terms of ceasefire,” Netanyahu told the cabinet at its weekly meeting on Sunday.
