During his visit to Armenia on Nov. 5, Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission, officially handed over the EU-Armenia Visa Liberalization Action Plan to Arpine Sargsyan, Armenia’s Minister of Internal Affairs and the country’s senior official for visa liberalization dialogue.
Upon receiving the document, Sargsyan stated that it marks an important stage in the Armenia–EU partnership, which has already attracted broad public attention and expectations.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved so far and noted that the official delivery of the action plan serves as proof of genuine joint efforts.
The Armenian side reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the measures outlined in the plan, the ultimate goal of which is to ensure dignified, safe, and easy travel opportunities to the European Union for Armenian citizens.
