Putin orders study on feasibility of nuclear tests, not their immediate preparation, says Peskov

During a meeting with members of the Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed officials to study the feasibility of conducting nuclear tests, rather than to begin immediate preparatory work, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told TASS.

“I want to emphasize that the president has not given an order to start preparatory work for testing. The president has instructed us to examine the advisability of starting preparatory work for such tests,” Peskov said.
