Costa says EU’s united position key tool for good results in peace talks for both Ukraine and Europe

European Council President António Costa stated that the EU’s united and coordinated position is the key tool for ensuring a good outcome in peace negotiations for both Ukraine and Europe. Costa wrote this on X while commenting on his phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ahead of this morning’s informal EU leaders’ meeting on Ukraine peace efforts, to get his assessment of the situation. A united and coordinated EU position is key in ensuring a good outcome of peace negotiations – for Ukraine and for Europe,” Costa wrote.
