The U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, who is full of hope that the people of Artsakh can live in security within Azerbaijan, seems to draw inspiration from the mood of the Armenian authorities. MP Tigran Abrahamyan wrote this on his Facebook page.
“Cession of Artsakh has become an ultimate goal for the Armenian authorities, and on their way to it, they trample on every principle, corrupt values and sink into the depths of self-humiliation. Would the U.S. diplomat, believing in the possibility of security of the people of Artsakh within Azerbaijan, trust the ISIL or Al-Qaeda terrorist organizations with the lives and security of her family members, relatives or simply those of her compatriots? Azerbaijan is no better than terrorist groups in its very nature as a state and the crimes it has committed against humanity. Thus, the ambassador’s statements on sending the people of Artsakh right to the lion’s den are unacceptable and adversely affect both the negotiation process and the reputation of the U.S. as a mediator,” wrote Abrahamyan.
