The child’s only New Year wish is to see their father: Movses Sharbatyan in custody for 5 months
For five months now, the children of Movses Sharbatyan, a supporter of the Holy Struggle movement, have only been able to see their father on TV. They have visited the prison twice, most recently in October. After he was transferred from the NSS detention facility, they have not been able to see him.
At home, they are told that their father has gone to work—but the children do not understand what kind of work keeps him from returning for months.
Nine-year-old Ruben holds his six-month-old brother in his arms; the baby was only one month old when their father was taken into custody. Four-year-old Anahit has already decided what she will do when her father finally comes home.
