Putin to hold bilateral meeting with Pashinyan, says Peskov
Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Saint Petersburg, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, according to ria.ru.
Earlier, Peskov had stated that Putin would meet with Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan. However, the Azerbaijani president’s office later announced that Ilham Aliyev did not attend the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held on Dec. 21, as Azerbaijan is not an EAEU member.
Aliyev also did not attend the informal summit of the CIS, citing the president’s tight work schedule. In response, Peskov said that the Kremlin understands Aliyev’s decision to cancel his visit to Saint Petersburg.
