Khamenei adviser says any aggression against Iran will be met with harsh response

Iran will respond swiftly and forcefully to any act of aggression against the country, Ali Shamkhani, political adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, wrote on X, commenting on statements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the possible use of force against Tehran.

According to Shamkhani, Iran’s defense doctrine stipulates a range of retaliatory measures, including actions taken even before threats are carried out.

“Iran’s missile and defensive capabilities are beyond restraint and require no permission. Any aggression will receive an immediate and harsh response that will exceed the expectations of its authors,” Shamkhani said.

Earlier, during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump stated that Washington remains open to dialogue with Iran but does not rule out the use of force, warning that its consequences would be more severe than strikes on nuclear facilities.
