UK defense secretary says he would kidnap Putin if given the chance

British Secretary of State for Defense John Healey has stated he would kidnap Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to hold him accountable for alleged war crimes, The Telegraph reports.

“If I had the opportunity to kidnap any world leader, I would detain Putin and punish him for war crimes,” Healey said.

The statement was made during Healey’s visit to Ukraine, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the visit, the British defense secretary also announced that Britain would spend £200 million to prepare its troops for a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.
