Turkey values Iran’s stability and opposes any external interference, Erdoğan tells Pezeshkian

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to media reports.

The two leaders discussed Turkey–Iran relations as well as regional issues.

Erdoğan said that Turkey is closely monitoring developments in Iran, values Iran’s stability, and opposes any form of external interference. He also stressed that preventing an escalation of tensions in the region is in Turkey’s interest.
