Trump asked Putin to halt strikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities
US President Donald Trump said he had personally asked Russian President Vladimir Putin not to strike Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
“I personally asked President Putin not to carry out missile strikes on Kyiv and other cities for one week during this period of extreme cold weather, and he agreed to do so,” Trump said during a meeting with his administration.
He also stated that “significant” progress has been made in negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
