The Guardian correspondent highlights Armenian carpet laid out for US vice president

A correspondent for the British newspaper The Guardian highlighted the Armenian carpet laid out at Yerevan’s airport for US Vice President JD Vance.

“On a separate note, can I just draw your attention to this amazing rug that they rolled out for JD Vance as he arrived at the Yerevan airport in Armenia?” the correspondent writes.

The US vice president’s plane arrived at Zvartnots Airport on Feb. 9 as part of a regional tour. At the airport, Vance was welcomed on the red carpet by the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan.
