Tbilisi lowers tariffs for fuel from Azerbaijan to Armenia

The transportation of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia via Georgia has become cheaper, Sputnik’s Georgian service reports, citing Georgia’s Ministry of Economy.

Georgia has set a token tariff for the transit of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia. Tariff rates were a key topic of discussion during a meeting in Yerevan between Georgia’s Minister of Economy, Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan.

“The Georgian side provided information about major transport infrastructure projects currently underway in Georgia, the full implementation of which will significantly improve connectivity between the two countries,” Georgia’s Ministry of Economy said in a statement.
