Witkoff says US hopes talks will lead to Putin-Zelensky meeting

In an interview with Fox News, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff expressed hope that the next phase of negotiations on the Ukraine issue will take place within the next three weeks, which could be followed by a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine.

“At some point, this could even evolve into a trilateral meeting with the US president, we’ll see. I don’t think he would want to attend without being confident it could bring an end to the conflict and achieve the best possible outcome,” Witkoff  said, according TASS.
