Work is work, but lunch comes first: BBC on Pashinyan eating potato pies
The BBC has reported on a video shared by Nikol Pashinyan, in which he and Alen Simonyan, President of the National Assembly, are seen eating potato pies on a bus.
“Work is work, but lunch comes first,” the news outlet writes, noting that the video footage of the Armenian PM and the Parliament speaker enjoying potato pies has already gathered over 2.9 million views on Instagram.
BBC also highlighted reactions from social media users. Some of the comments include:
- “There are three things you can watch endlessly in the world: fire burning, water flowing, and the Armenian PM eating a potato pie on a bus.”
- “I have a date idea — you, me, Pashinyan, and the potato pie.”
- “While the world focuses on events in the Middle East, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan became an instant meme, eating potato pies on camera.”
The BBC added, “Besides the potato pies, Nikol Pashinyan and Alen Simonyan also ate some corn, but that happened the next day.”
