US spending $220M per day on operations against Iran

The US and Israel’s military actions against Iran, which began on Feb. 28, are starting to have effects not only militarily but also economically.

Preliminary estimates from experts show that in the first 24 hours of the operation, the costs of ammunition, fighter jet flights, and troop deployments in the region ran into billions of dollars.

The US military reportedly spent around $779 million in the first 24 hours of operations against Iran. Deploying aircraft and dozens of ships in the region cost an additional $630 million. Daily operating costs for each aircraft carrier strike group in the region are estimated at about $6.5 million.

Since the first day, total expenditures have reached approximately $2.276 billion. Analysts note that the hourly cost of the war is $9.16 million, the daily cost is about $220 million, and the per-second cost is $2,546.
