International Relations Specialist: The US is starting to monitor more carefully how well human rights are protected, including in Armenia

The U.S. is starting to monitor more carefully how well
human rights are protected, including in Armenia. International Relations
Specialist Suren Sargsyan made a Facebook post on this.

He noted that recently Biden has come under strong criticism
for deviating from the established principle, i.e. to put human rights at the
core of the country’s foreign policy.

“At this pre-election stage, when Biden’s approval rating is
falling, he is facing criticism for being soft with a number of countries on a
number of issues, including on human rights.

I am sure that in the near future, Armenia will also come
under the microscope, and Washington will not turn a blind eye to things that
it did not speak about on account of geopolitical interests. I do not rule out
the possibility that in the near future, for example, Malyan or others may be
released,” Sargsyan wrote.
