Araghchi says Iran not considering new negotiations with US

Iran does not consider it advisable to hold new negotiations with the United States, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with PBS.

When asked whether Tehran’s leadership had contacted US representatives after Mojtaba Khamenei was elected as Iran’s new supreme leader, Araghchi said Khamenei has not yet made any statements on the matter and that everyone is waiting for his future comments.

“I do not think that new contacts or negotiations with the United States are on the agenda at this moment. We have a very bitter experience with the Americans,” Iran’s foreign minister said.
