Iran’s ambassador calls UN Security Council resolution ‘manifest injustice’ against his country
Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, on Wednesday described a resolution adopted by the organization as a “blatant misuse” of the UN mandate, Al-Monitor writes.
“Let me make it clear, this resolution is a manifest injustice against my country, the main victim of a clear act of aggression,” Iravani said, adding that the Security Council is acting to serve the political agendas of the United States and Israel.
The UN Security Council on Wednesday adopted a resolution calling on Iran to halt attacks on Gulf states; the resolution does not mention strikes against Iran by the US or Israel.
