The municipality has released the list of buildings that are to be pulled down within the Ring Park (Oghakadzev aygi) renovation project. ABC media previously spoke on this topic, expressing concern that the Chess House may also be subject to demolition.
Spokesperson for the Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Kostanyan told ABC media that the Chess House will remain in its place and that no one is going to pull it down. He even promised that the surroundings will be redeveloped.
When asked whether the Multi Wellness center or other buildings there are also on the list or not, Kostanyan said that area is not included in the investment plan in question.
The buildings to be pulled down are as follows:
Tashir Pizza,
Labeerint,
Novella Music Hall,
Montana Music House,
Hookah Lounge & Rooms,
other buildings and shops.
