The Artsakh issue is not closed for France: Mourad Papazian on Senate resolution

For the French Senate, the issue of Artsakh is not closed; France states this officially and encourages Armenia to note the same. Mourad Papazian, a co-chairman of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France and an ARF bureau member, said this to ABC media.

“It is rather strange that a country like France goes further than the Armenian government.

This resolution is fairly positive. We know that the RA authorities are negotiating with Azerbaijan, but the results are rather poor, because Azerbaijan, knowing that Pashinyan’s policy is rather weak, continues to exert pressure and take advantage of the opportunity. It is clear to everyone that Azerbaijan does not want peace with Armenia, but wants to rule over Armenia,” he said.

Referring to Aliyev’s recent statements, where he calls Armenia “Western Azerbaijan”, Papazyan noted that Armenia should react forcefully to it, turning to the international community if necessary.
