Artsakh Parliament condemning Azerbaijani authorities’ actions toward Armenian trace obliteration

Despite its own statements about peace made on various international platforms, Azerbaijan is openly trying to bring its genocidal plans against the Armenian people to an end, reads the statement issued by the National Assembly of Artsakh.

It is noted that this is mainly expressed by the desecration and destruction of the monuments that are symbols of Armenian Christian history and culture, liberation struggle, and statehood, or by the ascription of the so-called “Albanian origin” to them.

The latest vandalism case has been the desecration of Holy Mother of God Cathedral in Stepanakert, the total destruction of the buildings of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh and that of the Artsakh Freedom Fighters Union.

“The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh condemns the barbaric actions of the Azerbaijani authorities to obliterate the Armenian trace and demands that human rights organizations and the Armenian authorities present the facts of all Azerbaijani anti-cultural actions one by one to the relevant international agencies and institutions, raising the issue at an international level,” reads the statement.
