Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is in Baku on an official visit. He will have talks there with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Mishustin has been in Baku since yesterday. He has already met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ali Asadov. The prime ministers of the two countries expressed mutual interest in the further promotion of cooperation between the countries. Among other issues, Mishustin highlighted the importance of mutually increasing investments.
The Russian prime minister turned special attention to the unblocking of economic and transport links in the South Caucasus and announced Russia’s interest in the peace, stability and prosperity of the region.
After the talks, several documents were signed, including a roadmap for the promotion of bilateral tourism in 2024–2026. The Russian delegation included Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov, Director General of the Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina and others.
