Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Turkey has been being prepared for a long time; there are many issues that need to be addressed by the heads of states, Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said.
“The visit has been being prepared for a long time. We are also looking forward to this visit; it is important. We are looking forward to these talks at the highest level of Russian-Turkish relations. There are many issues, first, our bilateral relations, our trade and economic relations; the heads of states need to address many issues,” Peskov said.
There are no specific dates for the trip to Turkey yet. Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that he expected Vladimir Putin’s visit after the elections. Local government elections in Turkey are scheduled for March 31. The presidential elections in Russia will take place on March 15–17.
