Today, at a weekly press conference, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova spoke about the statements that Nikol Pashinyan made yesterday.
In response to the journalist’s question as to what Moscow thinks about the Armenian leader’s statement about the withdrawal of the Russian border guards from Zvartnots Airport, Zakharova said: “The Armenian leadership has commented on this through departmental channels. However, we have not received anything through diplomatic channels.
The said statement is an unfriendly move by Yerevan and is not in the security interests of the people of Armenia. For many years, the Armenian and Russian border guard troops have effectively performed their functions,” Zakharova said.
