Iranian and Azerbaijani presidents to visit Khoda Afarin

Before Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, the presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran will visit Khoda Afarin Dam. Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Abbas Mousavi said this in an interview to an Azerbaijani media outlet.

 

“I hope that the energy ministers of the two countries will soon meet to carry out preparatory works. The opening ceremony of the Khoda Afarin and Giz Galasi hydroelectric power stations and corresponding dams will take place on the border with the participation of the heads of the two states,” the diplomat said.

 

The ambassador noted that they will continue to work toward the quick opening of a new bridge over the Arax, as well as a road and a railway line.
