The U.S. is paying close attention to the issue of border demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Vedant Patel said this at a press briefing, commenting on Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that a quick border demarcation is needed to avoid a war with Azerbaijan.
“This is an issue that we are continuing to pay close attention to. It’s something that not just the Secretary but Assistant Secretary O’Brien as well as Senior Coordinator Bono are continuing to focus on, engaging with appropriate interlocutors,” Patel concluded.
