Russian Foreign Ministry comments on Pashinyan’s statement about threat of war with Azerbaijan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about the threat of war with Azerbaijan has no relation with Russia; it is in the province of the authorities of Yerevan and the result of their consultations with the West. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova wrote this on her Telegram channel.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told the residents of the border villages in Tavush that if Yerevan fails to satisfy Baku’s demand to transfer a number of border villages to Azerbaijan, a war will break out.

“This is what the new curators from the EU, NATO and Washington have done. Note that this statement is in no way related to Russia, this is exclusively in the province of the current authorities of Yerevan and the result of their consultations with the representatives of the West,” Zakharova wrote.
