American expert names best guarantors of Armenia’s security
The best guarantors of Armenian security are Russia and Iran. James Carden, the former adviser to the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission at the U.S. Department of State, wrote in an article of The American Conservative.
According to him, it is now clear that the U.S. national security bureaucracy seems both unable and unwilling to envision a world in which Iran and Russia are not the apex-villains. Carden notes that this vision of the world obviously stands at odds with reality.
“And the fact is, stark and unpleasant as it might be to the Washington establishment, that the best guarantors of Armenian security are Russia and Iran,” he wrote.
