Menua Soghomonyan: Withdrawing soldiers from the border and ceding villages without border delimitation and demarcation is a criminal act

Withdrawing our soldiers from their positions is going to be a criminal act, especially when border delimitation and demarcation have not been carried out. Political scientist Menua Soghomonyan, who is also taking part in the rally, said this to ABC media.

“We have to understand that we cannot achieve an end through threats and intimidation. In 2021, the current authorities came here and promised the residents that they “will cut off their hands, but will not cede anything”. However, today they are intimidating and threatening people, saying that if we don’t cede, a war will break out. Pashinyan threatens his own people with a war more than, for example, Aliyev. Here, 70% of the residents voted for Pashinyan because they naively believed in him. But what are the authorities up to now?” Soghomonyan noted.

The representatives of the authorities, using all manipulative techniques, announce that the villages to be ceded are uninhabited and that they do not even have a village head or a cadastre certificate. In response to these statements, Soghomonyan said: “Was it mentioned in your pre-election program that you were going to cede Kheyrimli or Ghzlhajili? People voted for you, considering your pre-election program. What are you doing now? To say that you have deviated from that plan would be an understatement. You are toppling the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and continue to build and hold power on a lie,” Soghomonyan said.

To remind, a rally is taking place today in Voskepar village of Tavush Province. There are MPs of the National Assembly and public figures among the participants.
