The community of Noyemberyan, its leadership, including the heads of the border villages, do not support the border delimitation process and are in no way engaged in it, the community of Noyemberyan said in a statement.
“The border delimitation works between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the territory of Baghanis and Voskepar villages of Noyemberyan community entail extremely serious risks.
In particular, the existence of new borders makes the most important parts of the community’s territory vulnerable, which will pose a major threat to the community’s population.
We support the establishment of peace, but this process of border delimitation actually constitutes a unilateral concession by Armenia, while many territories of the Republic of Armenia—including territories in Tavush Province—remain in Azerbaijani occupation. In this case, it is not realistic to talk about peace in several villages.
Border delimitation in this format is unacceptable to us. Therefore, the community of Noyemberyan, its leadership, including the heads of the border villages, do not support the border delimitation process and are in no way engaged in it,” reads the statement.
