Morning tense in Kirants: What is going on there?

The day dawned tense in the village of Kirants in Tavush Province.

The residents of the village have blocked the road leading to the bridge over the river in Kirants to prevent demining activities.

To remind, today is the seventh day that the people of Tavush have been fighting against the delimitation process approved by the Government.

In the previous six days, protesters blocked interstate and intercommunal highways in several directions.

In the meantime, the police arrested over a dozen people, including military and political figures.

Everyone, except political scientist Suren Petrosyan, was released on Tuesday, April 23.

Petrosyan is now in Yerevan, in the Erebuni detention center.
