At a weekly press briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova reminded journalists that on Nov. 9, 2020, with the direct participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a tripartite statement was signed between Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan. The leaders of the three countries reached a “gentlemen’s agreement” to leave the issue of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh to future generations.
According to Zakharova, the spreading of fake news is aimed at plunging the international community into confusion. “The Armenian authorities themselves recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan in Prague,” Zakharova noted.
