Yes, three people resigned their parliamentary seats to
support their friend Levon Kocharyan. MP Gegham Nazaryan from the opposing NA
Armenia Alliance said this to the press, referring to the three members of the
Armenia Alliance preceding Levon Kocharyan on the electoral list.
“They decided that Levon Kocharyan taking up the
parliamentary seat is the best decision for now,” Nazaryan said.
In response to the question if he does not think a motion
will be put forward to take Levon Kocharyan into custody, Nazaryan said: “I do
not think that this is the case for which the prosecutor will stoop to entering
the building of the National Assembly to imprison Levon Kocharyan, thus
tarnishing his reputation.”
