Norway recognizes Palestinian state

Norway officially recognized Palestine as a state. The decision will come into force on May 28, the Government of Norway said in a press release.

“The Government of Norway has decided that Norway recognizes Palestine as a state. In war, when tens of thousands of people are being killed and wounded, we must opt for the only alternative that offers a political solution to both Israelis and Palestinians,” the Norwegian Prime Minister said.
