The road to Kirants remains blocked. The police closed it on May 19, saying that the border guards were carrying out certain actions. The National Security Service issued a statement on this as well, noting that actions are being taken to take over state border protection.
The police allow only those registered in Kirants to enter the village. Earlier, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, MPs, cultural figures and journalists were refused entry into the village.
News came in today that measurement works are underway in the village.
