Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan: He has turned the Government building into a detention center
The rally outside the Government building was tense at the beginning. The police were impounding protesters’ cars; there was even a person in one of the cars. After the situation calmed down a little, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan spoke with the press, referring to topics discussed in recent days. First, he commented on the situation outside the Government building.
“He has turned the Government building into a detention center. Look at these police cordons. What have we done? People have simply come here; they are impounding the cars. We have come to tell you that you have nothing to do in this country. And back then, he was going around by bicycle,” the Holy Father said.
He also talked about his meeting with Gagik Tsarukyan’s family.
“We talked two or three days ago; we discussed what could be done to address people’s needs in Tavush and Lori provinces. The entire family was present at the meeting: children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, mother,” Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan said.
