Serzh Sargsyan: Refusing His Holiness entry into Sardarapat Memorial was not only beyond legal normal but also beyond moral norms

There is no need to make assessments, because our people can see it all. If you are asking about the reasons, then I am sure those who give and carry out such orders have disproportionate external support, Third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan told the press.

“That is why they resort to disproportionate actions. As regards, refusing His Holiness entry, it is against legal norms; it is beyond moral boundaries as well,” Sargsyan noted.

Referring to the Tavush for the Homeland movement, the third president urged people not to make predictions whether the struggle will succeed or not.

“I don’t think the struggle is losing momentum. Let’s imagine the process cannot be thwarted. What would you suggest then? To stop fighting altogether? I can see no other way. The protesters do not have the opportunity to stay the hands of those who sign. These protests are staged so that those who sign will not have the right to do that,” Serzh Sargsyan said.

According to Sargsyan, he has said and now says that not only he, but also the party he leads, and their supporters support the candidate put up by Rev. Bagrat Galstanyan.

“He has put himself forward, so we support him,” the third president said.
