The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has received a note from Iran for obtaining “observer” state status in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), EEC Board Commissioner Bakhytjan Sagintayev said. He also noted that the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) will be held in Yerevan in late September and early October.
