Considering popular demand, the Parliament will agree on the government resignation and the formation of a new government, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan said today in Republic Square.
“We have proven that we are determined. This can be seen in the fact that I’ve personally, throughout the entire period, put everything that God and my people have given to me into the restoration of the Homeland and the state. In return, we have received persecution and ridicule, but our determination has not suffered. Now we want to know how ready you are to resist. We are calling on everyone and note that for the next 96 hours we will deal with only this issue and get rid of it once and for all.
I am appealing to businessmen; I have not seen many of you throughout this time. You may have tried to act secretly, but we have time to look each other in the eye. Nothing has been more important than the Homeland and honor for me,” Rev. Bagrat said.
He also appealed to professors, teachers, public intellectuals, and cultural figures, saying that if we continue like this, we will have nothing to lose tomorrow. “We must rise up and fight for our Homeland,” he said.
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan also appealed to the law enforcement bodies. “Act within the law and legality. Understand that all this is done so that you can serve with honor, so that you will not be considered to be mere tools, but officers ensuring the security of their Homeland,” he said.
