Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, within the framework of the ongoing BRICS meeting in Nizhny Novgorod. The ministers discussed the agendas regarding current issues of bilateral political dialogue and trade and economic cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on the need to continue close cooperation for the benefit of addressing existing issues, further expanding ties and looking for prospects for cooperation.
Reference was made to the main aspects of the international agenda, including the situation in the Middle East and the South Caucasus, as well as on some international platforms.
