Key points of joint statement made after Armenia-US strategic dialogue’s final session
The delegations discussed joint efforts aimed to promote mutual prosperity, economic and energy resilience through closer cooperation;
The sides discussed increasing cooperation on sanction and export control issues;
The discussions centered on promoting Armenia’s food security and energy independence;
USAID intends to support Armenia in developing a transportation strategy which will be the basis of Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” vision;
The U.S. appreciates Armenia’s efforts to provide asylum to displaced persons and refugees;
The participants highlighted the important role of the U.S. support in the initiatives aimed at the transformation of the defense sector of Armenia and the development of the law enforcement system;
The parties discussed the provision of future support by the U.S. to the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs;
The U.S. also intends to continue supporting Armenian organizations focused on preventing and combating corruption and transnational organized crime;
The U.S. will continue to support the development of a strong civil society and independent media environment.
