Russian media: Arrests, stun grenades, fights: Dozens of protesters have been detained in Yerevan 

The Russian media has covered the protests in Armenia, clashes between the police and the protesters, and the arrests that followed. In particular, it was noted that as a result of the clashes, people were taken to hospitals, the police used special measures, stun grenades; they also regularly provided updates on those arrested.

Channel One Russia made a report, noting that the situation in Yerevan has escalated. The police used stun grenades against the protesters, who were demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Pashinyan.

A tent city was founded outside the Parliament building on Monday. Pashinyan’s opponents, led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, seek a change of power. They are unhappy with the position of the authorities regarding the fixing of borders with Azerbaijan.

News.ru wrote that the situation outside Armenia’s National Assembly building has become extremely tense. Protesters clashed with the police cordons, while a quarrel broke out in Parliament. “How will the confrontation develop in Yerevan? Has the revolution in Armenia broken out?” the website wrote.

Kommersant.ru wrote that one of the published footage shows an injured man sitting in an ambulance. His hand and fingers got injured after the police used stun grenades. The same footage shows an emergency doctor speaking on the phone asking for an additional team of doctors.
