GALLUP: 44.3% of Armenian citizens believe that the country should be neutral and not be a member of any military alliance
In recent months, GALLUP conducted surveys in Armenia on domestic political issues and the Constitution. To the question as to whether Armenia is generally moving in the right or wrong direction, 15.2% of the respondents said ‘completely in the right direction’, 10.6% said ‘rather right’, 23.1% said ‘rather wrong’, and 28.5% said ‘totally wrong’.
There were also questions about the organizations of which Armenia is a member and expected memberships. For example, to the question as to whether Armenia should continue its membership in the CSTO or should strive to join NATO, 44.3% of the respondents answered that Armenia should not join any organization and should be a neutral country; 16.9% believe that Armenia should continue its membership in the CSTO, while 29% think that the country should strive to join NATO.
