Magdalena Grono to replace Toivo Klaar as EU special representative for South Caucasus
EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar will be replaced by Magdalena Grono from the Czech Republic.
“Political and Security Committee just confirmed the appointment of Magdalena Grono as Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia. The nomination will be formally confirmed by the Council of the EU,” the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU said on X.
Grono used to be the chief adviser on diplomatic issues to Charles Michel, the president of the European Council. Prior to that, she held the position of Michel’s senior adviser on foreign policy․
