Armenia and Turkey agree to assess needs for Akhurik/Akyaka railway border crossing operation
On July 30, special representatives of the settlement process between Armenia and Turkey, Deputy President of the RA National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan and Ambassador Serdar Kılıç, held the fifth meeting at the Margara-Alijan border crossing between the two countries.
They reaffirmed the agreements reached during the previous meetings.
In addition, they agreed to assess the technical needs in line with regional developments to enable the Akhurik/Akyaka railway border crossing to be operational, as well as mutually facilitate visa procedures for holders of diplomatic/official passports.
In the end, they re-emphasized the agreement to continue the settlement process without any preconditions in order to achieve the ultimate goal of full settlement between the two countries.
