Armenia, Iran and India launching trade route as tripartite meeting planned
Armenia is working toward the creation of an unhindered high-speed route, as well as the launch of new logistical routes and hubs.
Soon, a tripartite meeting will be held between Armenia, Iran and India regarding the launch of the trade route. Sputnik Armenia learned about this from its sources in logistics companies.
The meeting will take place in Iran. Representatives of the transport sectors of the three countries will look into the infrastructure of the Chabahar port, discuss the operational activities of Armenia in the port and issues related to the early launch of the route.
Earlier, in response to Sputnik Armenia’s written request, the Ministry of Economy said that the format of Armenia’s participation as an operator is currently unknown.
The ministry noted that the launch of new routes will develop Armenia’s trade potential. Yerevan will have reliable access to India as well as to the prospective markets of Southeast Asia.
